Title: Business Manager II M/A-4
Supervisor’s Title: Pastor
Job Summary/Purpose: Responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the financial, facilities and human resources of the Parish. Also responsible for planning, staff supervision, technology, legal concerns, communications, and purchasing. Serves as resource for various consultative groups including Parish Council and Finance Council.
Summary of essential job functions: Responsible for all aspects in the preparation and distribution of all financial reports for internal and external use. Ensures that all submissions comply with parish, diocesan, and government requirements.
Participates in the preparation of the Parish’s annual budget.
Assures the optimal functioning of building, systems, and equipment. Manages employees, volunteers, and contractors in the maintenance of the parish building, equipment, and grounds. Coordinates preventive maintenance and conducts daily inspections to identify other necessary corrective actions.
Insures compliance with Parish and Diocesan personnel policies.
Provides staff liaison with Parish Hospitality Committee and to the volunteers who work in the food distribution and financial assistance ministry.
Maintains the parish calendar. Schedules and authorizes the use of the church, commons, and classrooms. Communicates expectations for the use of the facility.
Researches and negotiates the most economical purchases of parish supplies and services.
Updates parish web site. Troubleshoots daily computer hardware and software malfunctions.

Position Status: Salaried exempt 40 hours
Minimum Qualifications (Including Education/Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities) * Education - Bachelor’s Degree * Experience - 3 years * Accounting skills - Must have a working knowledge of nonprofit accounting * Data Processing skills - The ability to interact with and maintain records utilizing data processing * Budgeting skills - Must have the ability to formulate and execute a budget * Contracting skills - Must have the ability to obtain the minimum materials or services to meet parish requirements with a minimum of funds expended * Managerial skills - Must have the ability to work effectively with staff members and Volunteers * Leadership ability - Must have the ability to lead volunteers and support staff in attaining parish goals and maintaining a community spirit * Responsive - Must be able to meet the needs of the parish, pastor and various councils and committees in a timely manner
Working Conditions Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule to include evening or weekend hours.
Physical Demands Requires the ability to move constantly within the various parish buildings and grounds to coordinate the work of the custodian, service contractors, and volunteers. Other physical demands include standing, stooping, sitting, walking, driving, light lifting, manual dexterity, and visual inspection.
